Gemma Malley
Gemma Malley made her writing debut aged 16 with a book review in Harpers and Queen magazine; she went on to write regularly for Company Magazine, Homes and Ideas, the Sunday Sun and the Sunday Telegraph.
In her early twenties, she sang and played cello in Blueboy, an indie band, with whom she recorded a Peel session and two internationally acclaimed albums, as well as touring the UK, Europe and Japan. The band reformed in 2024 and are currently recording a new album.
Gemma has written seven YA novels published by Bloomsbury and Hodder and translated into more than twenty languages including THE DECLARATION trilogy; as Gemma Townley she has written seven romantic comedy novels published by Ballantine Random House (US) and Orion UK. The Declaration was optioned in 2023 and is currently being adapted for television by Banijay’s Screen Line Productions.
Gemma lives in London with her husband, three teenagers and their lurcher.
